QUEST IRISH WOLFHOUNDS
In 1970, I (Cathy) acquired my first Afghan Hound. Skol was a pet who was the 10th Afghan in AKC History to achieve the Utility Degree in Obedience. After her, the bug hit me and soon came show quality Afghans. Under the kennel name of Dacasha, the Afghans were shown in conformation, obedience, lure coursing, and open field coursing. I bred and owned the first Afghan Hound to go Best in Show at the In 1997 I met my husband, Gracie, also know as, DC Castlemaine’s Pirate Queen RN CD SC FCh. CGC LCM CM VCX VFCh. produced seven puppies from two litters with six champions to date, including the #One Irish Wolfhound 2007. From this beginning, we are excited about our newest additions--litters from Ch. Kerryarc’s Bodacious Quest RA SC FCh. CM VC x Cely’s Dew Faro and BISS Ch. Quest Sea Raiders Alvilda RN x Ch. Both Ed and Cathy are members of the Northern California Afghan Hound Club, The Northern California Irish Wolfhound Club and The Irish Wolfhound Association of the West Coast. Cathy also belongs to the Afghan Hound Club of America and the Irish Wolfhound Club of America.
